about the author

Fred Rutter

has been sober for decades, and actively pursues a life of recovery and spirituality on a daily basis. He has lived in central Ohio his whole life, and resides in a small rural town in a very old and funky house along with his wife and a number of cats. This has served as a convenient location to travel the country extensively.  Writing and photography have both been hobbies since adolescence.

He attended Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio, plus Ohio Northern University and Columbus State. His job experience is as varied as his education, and has worked in warehouses, sales, a factory, construction, bartended, and driven trucks. He eventually gained stability through sobriety, and retired following a 27 year career at Mid-Ohio Foodbank, primarily in transportation, logistics, and management.  Mid-Ohio Foodbank distributes food to over 650 hunger relief agency partners across a 20 county area of central and eastern Ohio.

Mindful living and spirituality are important aspects in his life, which is enhanced by travel, writing, photography, and collecting paving bricks.

He uses a Minolta X-700 35mm camera body, a variety of lenses, and Kodak film (because that is all that is available now)
